St. Petersburg police are on the scene of a shooting involving two victims at 15th Avenue South and 11th Street South. One person is in custody.

At about 10:40 a.m. today, police responded to a shots heard call in the area.

Upon arrival, officers found two people had been shot, a teenage boy and an adult woman. Both were transported to a local hospital, where the boy is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The condition of the woman is unknown at this time.

Nearby schools were placed on temporary lockdown but have since reopened, operating on a normal schedule.

The investigation remains active and open.
