Update: Arrest in Hit-and-Run Crash - 4434 14th Ave S

Detectives arrested Kendric Dennard Stephens, for the hit and run crash that occurred early Monday, June 8th, that set a house and car on fire at 4434 14th Avenue South.

Please note:** the car he was driving belongs to a family member, so it was NOT STOLEN**

He faces the following charges:

  1. Leaving the scene of a crash - property damage
  2. Driving while license suspended, cancelled, or revoked
  3. Violation of probation

His booking photo was not available at the time of this release.

Hit-and-Run Crash - 14th Ave S

At 3 a.m., a Honda Accord crashed into a house and caught fire.

The residents were able to evacuate and were uninjured; however, the house sustained significant structural damage.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot and is at large.

The vehicle was stolen sometime overnight from the 2100 block of 9th Avenue South.

This is an ongoing investigation.
