Today at 2 p.m. in the St. Petersburg Police Department Media Room, 1301 1st Avenue North, Chief of Police Anthony Holloway and Mayor Ken Welch will present checks for approximately $169,785 asset forfeiture funds to 43 community-based programs that seek to improve neighborhood safety, promote crime prevention, and prevent drug abuse. The money will go to a wide variety of community programs. The Chief is especially interested in assisting programs promoting positive behavior for children and teens.
