At 9:20 a.m. today, a red Jeep SUV was seen traveling erratically and weaving through northbound traffic in the 1200 block of 34th Street North before it veered off the road and struck a street sign on 14th Avenue North.

The Jeep Compass Trailhawk SUV, driven by Ralph Locke (78) of Chicago, came to a stop in the driveway at 1390 34th St. N.

A preliminary investigation determined that Locke suffered a medical event while driving. He was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

No other vehicles were involved.

The investigation is ongoing.
