Update: Additional Child Abuse Charges

St. Petersburg Police detectives filed new charges against Gabriella Daniels and Ashton Kurant for abuse involving a second child in their care.
They now face additional charges for:
-Aggravated Child Abuse (unlawful caging) -Neglect (environmental hazards)
The new charges involve a 15-month-old girl in their care. The child suffered significant diaper rashes and sores on her legs and feet from being kept in a playpen for extended periods of time. The house was filthy and the child's mattress was soaked in urine and living insects.
The victim is now receiving care in a safe environment.
The couple was arrested last Thursday, April 16, on Aggravated Child Abuse and Child Neglect for injuries to a one-month-old boy in their care. The infant was taken to the hospital last week for medical treatment, where he died. After further investigation, he had bruises along his hairline and multiple lacerations throughout his body.
This is an ongoing investigation.
Child Abuse Arrest

St. Petersburg Police detectives arrested Gabriella Daniels (22) and Ashton Kurant (21) and charged them with Aggravated Child Abuse and Child Neglect for injuries to a 1-month-old boy in their care.
The child was taken to the hospital on April 16th for medical treatment, where he died. After further investigation, he had bruises along his hairline and multiple lacerations throughout his body.
