Shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, a 56-year-old woman was struck and killed while crossing in the 400 block of 34th Street North.

The incident occurred when the pedestrian attempted to cross east to west on 34th Street North. She entered the path of a white Ford F-150 truck in the southbound curb lane and was struck.

The woman was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The pedestrian's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The Ford F-150 driver, who was uninjured, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
