Update: Arrest for Kidnapping

Kidnapping suspect Jahvontae Bell, turned himself in early this morning. His booking photo is below.

He is charged with kidnapping, carjacking, and aggravated stalking for an incident that occurred earlier this month involving a former girlfriend.

At 7:15 a.m. on September 1, Jayanna Clark was seen having an altercation with a man in the parking lot of the Crescent Lane Apartments, 2000 Gandy Blvd. The man, later identified as Jahvontae Bell, forced her into her own car and drove off.

Police sent a media alert listing her as a Missing Endangered Woman.

Early the next morning, September 2nd, Clark called from a location in Clearwater, and officers brought her home. Detectives had been searching for Bell ever since.

Officers located Jayanna Clark and she is ok and safe. No additional details will be released at this time.

Officers located Jayanna Clark's Altima at 6500 Ulmerton Road. We believe she and the man are now in a different dark sedan. A photo is below.

Missing Endangered Woman

At 7:15 a.m., Jayanna Clark, was seen having an altercation with a man in the parking lot of the Crescent Lane Apartments, 2000 Gandy Blvd. The man reportedly forced her into her own car and drove off, striking two parked vehicles before heading north on U.S. 19.

Investigators have reason to believe the man may be a former boyfriend and are concerned for her safety.

Police are searching for a dark, possibly grey, Nissan Altima. A photo of the car is below, as well as a photo of Jayanna.
