A man struck and injured while riding an electric bicycle at the intersection of 32nd Avenue North and Hartford Street North last week has died.
The victim, Caidyn Reese Knuth of Seminole, died Saturday, Oct. 18, at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital.
Shortly after 6 p.m. Oct. 15, Knuth was riding an electric bike southbound on Hartford Street North, approaching 32nd Avenue North. At the same time, a grey Ford F-150 pulling a lawn trailer, driven by Charles Earle Billue of St. Petersburg, was eastbound on 32nd Avenue North, approaching Hartford Street North.
At the intersection of 32nd Ave. N. and Hartford St. N., the e-bike collided with the side of the lawn trailer.
Knuth was thrown off the bicycle. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Billue, the driver of the Ford F-150 pulling the lawn trailer, remained on scene to cooperate with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
