Hit and Run

On Sunday, September 28, Johnerik Track (DOB 1-30-97), of Palm Harbor, was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram truck west in the 1500 block of 1st Avenue North. He collided with vehicles that were stopped for a traffic signal at the intersection of 16th Street North, pushing them into other vehicles stopped at the light. One person suffered minor injuries. Track did not stop to render aid or provide his information.

Track then sped away from the scene, hitting a city light pole. Shortly afterwards, he crashed into a fence near 20th Ave. N. and 2nd Ave. N. and left the truck there. Officers found Track lying in a nearby front yard, screaming for help.

Track was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries and taken into custody for violation of probation on an unrelated charge.

Wednesday, October 1st, the investigating officer charged Track with:

-Leaving the Scene of Crash w/ Injury (Fel)

-Leaving Scene of Crash w/ Property Damage (Misd) 3 counts

-Reckless Driving w/ Property Damage/Injury (Misd)
