Arrest in 2025 Homicide

Today St. Petersburg Police Major Crimes detectives arrested Jermaine Ivery, 28, closing the final open homicide case of 2025. His booking photo is below.
Ivery is charged with 1st-degree murder for shooting a 27-year-old man on February 9, 2025, in the 900 block of 9th Avenue South.
The victim was shot as he tried to leave the scene in a vehicle but crashed into a pole. He was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
A woman was also shot, but her injury was not life-threatening.

At 3:19 a.m., a fight broke out in a club at 901 9th Avenue South and continued into the parking lot outside. Several shots were fired.
A 27 year old man, Delvin Jaquez Ford was shot while trying to leave the scene in a vehicle and he crashed into a pole. He was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital but he died of his injuries a short time later.
A second victim, a 26 year old woman was hit in the leg and is in stable condition.
This is an active investigation.
