DUI Driver Arrested After Driving into the Bay

At about 2:30 a.m., a vehicle drove east through the intersection of Central Ave and Bayshore Dr NE and went into the water.
The driver, 27-year-old Cassandra Kaiser , was able to escape and swim to shore.
After further investigation, officers determined that Kaiser was impaired and taken into custody.
Kaiser was charged with Driving Under the Influence.
