Arrest in Traffic Crash with Serious Injury

Update: Victim Dies in February 10th Traffic Crash

The victim, Vincent Green (DOB 06/02/2003), died from his injuries on Monday, February 19th.

Ke'Andrae Davis (DOB 04/12/2002) of St. Petersburg now faces a charge of vehicular homicide.

He was previously arrested on multiple charges involving auto theft, operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license causing serious bodily injury, witness tampering, resisting an officer without violence, and felon in possession of a firearm.

Ke'Andrae Davis (DOB 04/12/2002) of St. Petersburg has been arrested on multiple charges involving auto theft and causing a traffic crash with serious bodily injury.

At 11:43 p.m. Feb. 10, Davis was driving a stolen gray Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on 20th Street South at a high rate of speed.

Vincent Green,DOB 06/02/2003, a friend of Davis, had jumped onto the rear of the vehicle before it sped down the street. A short time later, Davis lost control of the vehicle and it swerved and flipped, ejecting Green off the back of the vehicle, causing serious injury.

Davis climbed out of the Jeep and left the area before officers' arrived.

Green was transported to a local hospital, where he remains listed in critical condition.

Davis was located and arrested Wednesday night. He has been charged with grand theft motor vehicle, reckless driving with serious bodily injury, leaving scene of a crash involving injury, felon in possession of firearm, tampering with a witness, resisting an officer without violence, and no valid driver's license.
