Shooting Investigation - Homicide Investigation

Third and Final Arrest Made in Saturday Homicide

St. Petersburg detectives arrested the third suspect, Randy Reynolds (11/04/2007) in Saturday's homicide and he is charged with 1st Degree Felony Murder and Armed Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. His booking photo is below.

Background:
Detectives determined that on Saturday, April 20th, at 1:18 p.m., three men approached Marcus Rivers,(10/02/02) in his vehicle at the intersection of 80th Avenue Northeast and Riverside Drive Northeast. Shots were fired leaving Rivers dead and 17-year-old Tyvion Royal (02/24/2007) injured.

Tyvion Royal remains in critical but stable condition this morning. Royal is charged with the following:

A second suspect, Samarion Douglas (09/18/2007) was later arrested on Saturday, and charged with the following:

Detectives believe the suspects and the victim were known to each other and that the incident was drug-related.

This is still an ongoing investigation.

Detectives have determined that three men approached Rivers in his vehicle when shots were fired leaving Rivers dead and the 17-year-old injured.

The 17-year-old has been identified as Tyvion Royal (02/24/2007), he remains in critical but stable condition at the hospital. Royal is being charged with the following:

A second suspect, Samarion Douglas (09/18/2007) was later arrested, and charged with the following:

Detectives have leads on the third suspect, and are pursuing them.

This is still an ongoing investigation.

At 1:18 pm officers responded to the 100-BLK of 80th Avenue Northeast in reference to a person shot.

Officers located Marcus Rivers (10/02/02) deceased at the scene. The next of kin has been notified.

A 17-year-old man was also located and transported to Orlando Health Bayfront St Petersburg hospital with a gunshot wound. He is in stable condition at this time.

This is an isolated incident, there is no danger to the public.

At 1:18 pm officers responded to the 100-BLK of 80th Avenue Northeast in reference to a person shot.

Officers located two adult victims with gunshot wounds.

Media staging area is at 81st Avenue Northeast, just east of Riverside. PIO is headed to the scene.
