At 3:15 a.m., a gun accidentally discharged inside a vehicle near Central Avenue and 58th St.,a bullet  struck a 17 year old girl. The circumstances are still under investigation.

She was driven on Central Avenue, behind the Police Department, where they flagged down a police officer.  She later died of her injuries. Her next of kin has not been notified, so we will not release her name at this time.

A suspect was taken into custody, Jessica Perry , DOB 8-24-1997,of St. Petersburg, and charged with manslaughter.
